I grew up in Shenzhen, studied in the UK, and came back when this city was still figuring out what it wanted to be. For the last six years I've worked as an independent guide, business translator, and sourcing consultant — almost entirely with foreign clients.

My day is a strange blend: a morning at a keyboard factory in Bao'an, an afternoon translating a contract for a Dutch importer, an evening showing a family from London where the city actually eats dinner.

I take on a small number of clients each month so I can stay hands-on, and I do not take supplier kickbacks. My fee comes only from you.
